Effective date: July 1, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ghosts.app and the Ghosts platform (the "Service"), operated by Ghosts ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to it.
Ghosts provides AI-assisted content drafting. You describe the content you need, answer a guided intake, and the Service produces draft written material using named writer personas, optional web research with cited sources, and editorial review tools. Drafts are produced by artificial intelligence and are intended to be reviewed, edited, and approved by you before use.
You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Workspaces may contain multiple members; workspace owners and admins control membership, billing, and content within their workspace. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
You retain ownership of the material you submit to the Service (briefs, notes, links, uploaded samples) ("Input") and, as between you and us, you own the drafts and other output the Service generates for you ("Output"). We claim no copyright interest in your Input or your Output. You grant us a limited license to process Input and Output solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service for you.
You are solely responsible for how you use Output, including reviewing it for accuracy before publication. AI-generated drafts can contain errors, omissions, or statements that require verification. Citations link to sources the Service consulted; you are responsible for confirming that cited material supports your final published claims. Output is not legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
You agree not to use the Service to:
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Where practical, we will notify you and give you a chance to export your content.
Paid plans renew monthly until canceled. Plans include a monthly allowance of drafting credits; unused allowance does not roll over. Purchased credit packs do not expire while your account is active. Drafting operations debit credits based on actual usage at rates shown before you commit to each piece. If you enable auto top-off, you authorize us to charge your saved payment method for the pack size you selected whenever your balance falls below your chosen threshold; you can turn this off at any time on your billing page.
Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card number. Except where required by law, payments and consumed credits are non-refundable. You can cancel a subscription at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period; unused purchased credits remain usable while your account is open.
The Service — including the platform, its design, the writer personas, their names and likenesses, prompt systems, and documentation — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your internal business or personal use. Writer persona names and images may not be used to imply endorsement of your published content.
The Service is built on third-party infrastructure and models, including cloud hosting, database, payment, email, and AI model providers, and may retrieve content from third-party websites when research is enabled. We are not responsible for third-party sites the Service links to or cites.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE, ORIGINAL, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR USE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.
You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your Input, your published use of Output, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your account for material breach of these Terms, for extended non-payment, or if required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 3, 6, and 8 through 12) survive.
We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Ghosts is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
